I came across The Golden Generation via a link at 'Daily Dose' . I cant remember the last time I read such a brilliant book, it had me absolutely hooked from the very beginning. I started reading it before I went on holiday and couldn't wait to get back to download the final chapter.
What a great idea to donate to Shelter....

Thanks so much for such a great book, Im a slow reader & have only just finished it.
A little sad for Jack & Mark, but what a truly brilliant storeyline, never really new where the plot would go, unpredictable. I have passed the first 4 parts of to quite a few friends, so more can be raised for shelter by the purchase of the 5th part,

Fantastic book from start to finish. Some of the references are genius. I love that you stuck it to celeb culture. Great ending too. Keep it up. I'll read anything else you guys write. John (Landan town)
What a fantastic concept. I was a bit daunted at first, but it kept me away from my marking. That was good for me but bad for my classes. Excellent, excellent, excellent. You two are my new heroes for getting one over Jade Goody. Hugs, Sue (should be doing prep work but is reading far too much of The Golden Generation).
One of the best and funniest things I've read. Good to read something written by people my age. I found myself agreeing with everything that Jack said. Jonny P

Can I be in the film? It has to be made into a film - it would make a brill film. Me as Sarah oppsite Ralf?!?! Oscar already : ) Seriously though guys, I loved it and I think it would make a GREAT film. Good luck in the future. Hi Stephen and Ralf,
I just wanted to thank you both for a brilliant read , I caught the golden generation bug from section 3 (but made sure I caught up with section 1 & 2 before I read the rest). I'd heard about it after Ralf was on Richard & Judy as Im a huge fan of his and Ive followed his career from The Royle Family and I met him last year at St James' Park (after the match series 3 final).
Anyway I just wanted to say I enjoyed every bit of the golden generation and Im glad it's going to stay on the internet indefinately so I can re-read every part again.
I just wanted to ask the following?
1.Will the golden generation be released in the shops at any time?
2.Are you going to write any more?
